The Nantucket Chowder Fest is an annual October/November event celebrating cream based clam chowder. The Annual Chowder Contest is a large draw during the festival.

This annual event draws a large crowd with four days dedicated to wine knowledge, tasting and appreciation. Several of the town's posh venues, such as the White Elephant, Nantucket Yacht Club and the Nantucket Golf Club, host the festivities with a celebratory theme. Some events include wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, luncheons, tours and demonstrations.
