Devil's Bridge shoals have been responsible for many a shipwreck off Martha's Vineyard, and are the reason for the construction of the Aquinnah Lighthouse that sits above the Aquinnah Cliffs. The giant bolders create a trecherous shoal that are also beautiful when viewed at sunset from the lighthouse. The spot is also a favorite for fishermen.
