The Maria Mitchell Association is dedicated to natural science, marine science and astronomy through educational programs and facilities. They operate an aquarium at the Nantucket Harbor where visitors can see and touch marine life. There are two observatories where the nightsky can be studied: The Loines Observatory and The Vestal Street Observatory. They also offer a series of walks and tours.
